How I Work

You are taking a big step, and my job is to be there with you
on your journey of change and self-discovery.

I strive to create a warm, empathic, non-judgmental setting – a safe and confidential space where you can talk about your feelings, thoughts, experiences, and dreams; about your past, your current joys or frustrations, and whatever else comes to mind; whatever explorations that will allow change to occur.

We will collaborate on your therapy. You set the agenda for your treatment – you decide what you want to work on and what you want to talk about.

I will be present and attentive. I will listen, ask questions, and share my impressions and reactions.

My job is to support you in figuring out what you want to do, and then help you to develop the skills and the confidence to do it.

Realizing that you have the power to create lasting, positive change in your life is a sign that therapy is working.
